The S-COM Repeater Controller legacy continues. The 7110e-MTR2K is a single port repeater controller designed to plug directly into a Motorola MTR2000 Option Slot. (A standalone version of this controller is in development.) This controller is a completely new ground-up design effort with a planned long life. This design takes advantage of the latest technologies and external interfaces.
The Ethernet connection provides a number of features. There is a ser2net-compatible RS232 interface for remote configuration of the MTR2000 via RSS. A Telnet service is available for remote configuration of the 7110e-MTR2K controller. And, there’s a web page interface for status and control.
An I/O card is planned to provide external Logic In, Logic Out, A2D and other I/O’s from the rear panel.
