Several of the Colorado repeater clubs use voting receivers on their repeaters to extend coverage into the Colorado foothills. Their early installations hand wired the Micro-Node RTCM, a GPS receiver and an RS-232 console connector for each deployment.
One of the builders of these systems asked for a proposal on how to simplify these installs. He wanted the install to be more plug-n-play.
What you see here is the result of the proposal. A circuit board jumpers the signals of the RTCM 15-pin connector to the RGCI. Within the RGCI is a u-blox NEO-M8 GPS receiver. Connect an active GPS antenna to the RGCI antenna
connector. The RTCM console is accessed via the RS-232 DE9F Console connector. Power is supplied from the RTCM.
